O soul, inflamed with longing’s fire,
I turn to You, Ya Rasûlallah!
I know not how I could endure,
this burning flame, Ya Rasûlallah.
Since time eternal I have wept,
my sighs unceasing, Ya Rasûlallah,
With Your light, bring joy to me—
for I am burned, Ya Rasûlallah.

You are the cure for hearts that burn,
no healing else, Ya Rasûlallah,
You are munificence itself,
the boundless grace, Ya Rasûlallah.
Beloved of the Lord Most High,
exalted, praised, Ya Rasûlallah,
With Your light, bring joy to me—
for I am burned, Ya Rasûlallah.

No roses bloom, no rivers run,
without your light, Ya Rasûlallah,
The universe would fade away,
no breath remain, Ya Rasûlallah.
Both parting weeps and union weeps,
without Your joy, Ya Rasûlallah,
With Your light, bring joy to me—
for I am burned, Ya Rasûlallah.

The souls dissolve in scented streams
that from you flow, Ya Rasûlallah,
The sun is trembling, set aflame,
consumed in glow, Ya Rasûlallah.
Creation sighs, distressed it moans,
at life’s last show, Ya Rasûlallah,
With Your light, bring joy to me—
for I am burned, Ya Rasûlallah.

Though thirst consumes in desert flame,
I’d feel no pain, Ya Rasûlallah,
Volcanoes burn within my chest,
yet seas are vain, Ya Rasûlallah.
If fire should rain from skies above,
I’d still remain, Ya Rasûlallah,
With Your light, bring joy to me—
for I am burned, Ya Rasûlallah.

I bow my head in brokenness,
my cure is You, Ya Rasûlallah,
My lips are seared with burning fire,
yet praise is due, Ya Rasûlallah.
Grant mercy as Your heart ordains,
to this soul, too, Ya Rasûlallah,
With Your light, bring joy to me—
for I am burned, Ya Rasûlallah.
